Guide
A camp stove is a small gas range, and the pan treats it as one. An open fire is a different matter.
On the label
Do not pop on glass top ceramic range, or over charcoal grill, open campfire, or other uneven heat. To use a camp stove, follow directions for gas range.
No. The Jiffy Pop label says not to pop the pan over an open campfire or a charcoal grill. The 4.5 oz pan needs even heat, and flames give it hot spots.
Yes. Jiffy Pop works on a camp stove, and the label says to follow the gas range directions: medium flame, shake, 2 to 5 minutes.
Pack one Jiffy Pop pan for every 3 to 4 campers per night. A pan pops about 14 cups, so four pans cover four people for four nights.

Set the stove on level ground out of the wind. A gust pushes the flame to one side, and one side of the pan burns.
The pan is its own bowl. Slit the foil, pass it round, and pack the empty pan out with your trash.
